Individual Counseling

Trauma-informed individual counseling is a therapeutic approach that acknowledges the profound impact of trauma on a person’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. This approach prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment, and incorporates coping strategies to enhance emotional regulation, resilience, and self-awareness.

Biblical counseling is available by request.

Trauma Counseling

A trauma-informed therapist creates a supportive and non-judgmental space, recognizing signs of trauma. I integrate evidence-based techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). The goal is to help clients regain a sense of control, rebuild self-trust, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

Anxiety, Depression, and Stress Symptoms

Trauma-informed therapy for depression and anxiety recognizes the impact of past trauma on emotional well-being and focuses on healing in a safe, supportive environment. This approach helps individuals identify triggers, regulate emotions, and develop coping strategies using evidence-based techniques like CBT and A.R.T. By addressing both trauma and current symptoms, therapy empowers individuals to build resilience, improve mood, and regain a sense of control in their lives.

Grief Counseling

Grief counseling provides a compassionate and supportive space for individuals coping with loss. This therapy helps clients process emotions, navigate the stages of grief, and find healthy ways to honor their loss while moving forward. Using evidence-based techniques, grief counseling supports emotional healing, resilience, and adjustment to life changes, allowing individuals to find meaning and renewed strength after loss.

Counseling for Parents

Whether you desire to be a parent, or currently experience parenting or co-parenting challenges, therapy offers a safe space to explore challenges and build confidence. I provide support and guidance to navigate the challenges of parenting, strengthen family relationships, and develop effective communication and discipline strategies.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling helps couples navigate challenges, improve communication, and strengthen their emotional connection. Whether addressing conflict, rebuilding trust, enhancing intimacy, or managing life transitions, couples counseling provides a safe space to explore relationship dynamics and develop healthier patterns of interaction. I use evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method (level two trained).

Specialty

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based, rapid intervention designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, and other distressing experiences. As a basic trained ART therapist, I guide clients through structured eye movement techniques that help reprocess painful memories, reducing emotional distress and negative thought patterns in just a few sessions. This approach empowers individuals to gain relief from symptoms without the need to relive traumatic events, fostering healing, resilience, and emotional well-being.
